The making of our crossbody bag

Our banana fiber bags are woven by hand and put together one piece at a time. They become all the more special once you know who made them and how they are produced.

Bananafiber crossbody bag with leather strap and five different lining options.
Our banana fiber product range is produced by a small cooperative of women in rural South India. The focus of the cooperative is improving the living conditions for women and rope makers in the village, as well as education for them and their children.
The cooperative is entirely sustained by the sales of their products. It takes one full day to produce the banana fiber case for our crossbody bag.
